Lincoln Square

Schools in Lincoln Square offer a fairly modest rating according to Great Schools.org. However, one of the bonuses that you will see from choosing this area is that there are fewer students per teacher in the schools of Lincoln Square. Where you may see 20 students per teacher in other areas around the city, it is more likely that you will only see around 13-15 per student in this community.

Uptown

Uptown real estate is less expensive than other areas and there is a mixture of good and bad areas in the same. It is close to the lake and there are plenty of transportation opportunities. You also find many historic buildings and there are rehabilitation projects going on across the area and hopes clean up the neighborhoods there are fewer restaurants and shops in this area but you should have no problem finding parking.

This is a beautiful part of the city and has a population of about 63,000 people. There are plenty of places to go and things to see and you will never grow tired of the activities that you can participate in. There are some excellent parks that you can visit and the area even offers a dog park for your furry friends.

School ratings are mixed in Uptown between low ratings and average ratings. The better schools are located in the northern portion of the community and the higher rated ones are Goudy Elementary and McCutcheon. Both of these schools have a rating of 4 according to Great Schools.org.

Rogers Park

This is located along the lake and has a mixture of as good and bad sections as well. Originally this was home to the Jewish culture that lived in Chicago but is now more culturally diverse. You can find the Loyola University in this neighborhood and there are many students that live here as well. There is also plenty of parking and will price rentals in this area.

Loyola Beach is a popular destination to visit and there is plenty of room to relax and enjoy yourself at this attraction. The elementary schools and high school offer a pretty low rating, so this may be something that you should consider before moving to this area. The highest rated school in this area is New Field Elementary School, which offers the education of students through 4th grade and has a rating of 4.
